Grilled – Fruit in Guava Sorbet

Grilled - Fruit in Guava Sorbet

Ingredient List:

  • 1 ea — Peaches — firm yet ripe
  • ½ ea — Pineapple — firm yet ripe
  • 20 ea — Red Seedless Grapes — firm yet ripe
  • 1 ea — Lemon
  • 1 liter — Hero Guava Nectar chilled!
  • 1 pkg — Sizzling Peach Fruit Grillers mixed as directed!
  • 1 ea — Charcoal Companion Grill Wok
  • Play and Freeze Ball or Donvier Ice Cream Maker

Instruction:

Peel, core and section the Peach and Pineapple as if they were an orange into ¼″–3/8″ slices, then cube the pineapple slices. Cut the Grapes in half. Toss the fruit in the hydrated Guava Fruit Grillers to coat them with a nice layer of the Fruit Grillers Mix.

Grill the fruit on medium heat (4–5 sec hand hold) placing them on the griddle or in the Grill Wok to get grill marks on all sides. Allow the Fruit Grillers Mix to form a caramel on all sides, ~1–3 minutes per side. Scrape off the fruit caramel and place the fruit and caramel into a bowl in the freezer to chill about 15–20 minutes…. Before they solidify take a knife and chop the fruit into ~1/2″ cubes.

Following the directions on the ice cream maker for a sorbet, mix the appropriate amount of chilled Guava Nectar with the chilled and cubed peaches. Now make that sorbet, while relaxing after the meal. Serve immediately. For extra Flavor you may drizzle the dished sorbet with a little Fruit Grillers Mix.
