Ingredient List:
- 4 to 8 — 1 inch thick Dodge City Beef — KC Strip Steaks
- 1 oz/steak — John Henry’s Mojave™ Garlic Pepper Seasoning
- ½ oz/steak — Lesley Elizabeth Spice It Up Oil
- 1 Tsp/steak — Fire & Flavor© Coffee Rub
- 1 btl — Hereford House Steak Sauce
- 1 ea — Steven Raichlen Grill Press and Plancha
Instruction:
Coat the steaks lightly with Spice It Up Oil and medium coat of the Mojave Garlic Pepper Seasoning. Pat all of this firmly into the steaks surface then dust lightly with the Fire & Flavor Coffee Rub. Cover and set the steaks into the refrigerator to flavorize for up to one hour.
Preheat the Plancha on high heat (2–3 second hand hold). Using the Grill Press sear the steaks 3 minutes per side on the Plancha then move to the grill grates to mark and finish about 2 minutes a side repeat using the Grill Press, steaks should be rare.
If cooking to a higher doneness set the steaks in an indirect heat zone at a medium low heat (5–7 sec hand hold) until you reach the desired doneness. Serve immediately, with Hereford House Steak Sauce, on the side.
