Grilled fruit Brochette’s

Ingredient List:

You may use any combination of Fresh Fruit that may be best for the season that you are in. Core the fruit leaving any edible skins in place and cut the pieces into 1 inch cubes.

  • 2 lg — firm ripe Pears
  • ½ lg — fresh Pineapple / Skinned
  • 2 lg — Med Ripe Bananas
  • 2 lg — firm Roma Apples
  • ½ — Lemon cut in half for quarters
  • 12–16 — 6 inch bamboo skewers / soaked
  • 1 tin — Steven Raichlen’s Dessert Rub

Instruction:

Cut the fruit into 1″ cubes. Squeeze ¼ of a lemon over pieces.

Dust with light coat of Dessert Rub.

Slide alternating pieces of Fruit on skewers.

Grill on medium heat (4–5 sec hand hold). Turn each brochette to get grill marks on all four sides, 1–3 minutes per side.

Squeeze the remaining lemon over the brochettes just before removing them from the grill.

Serve immediately.
