Grilled & Milled Blueberries in  Mango Sorbet

Ingredient List:

Fresh blueberries in season release a delightful flavor when grilled and milled to remove the skins.

  • 1 — box firm ripe Blueberries
  • 2 Tbsp — Honey
  • 1 liter — Hero Mango Nectar chilled!
  • 1 pkg — Urban Accents Sizzling Peach Fruit Rub
  • Harold’s SS Food Mill and
  • Charcoal Companion Grill Wok
  • Play and Freeze Ball or Donvier Ice Cream Maker

Instruction:

Rinse the blueberries, toss the berries in Mango Nectar to coat them, and dust them lightly with Sizzling Peach Fruit Rub.

Grill the blueberries on medium heat (4–5 sec hand hold) tossing them in the Grill Wok to get grill marks on all sides, 1–3 minutes per side. Place them into the Food Mill and process the skins off the berries. Cool the blueberry pulp and juice in the freezer.

Following the directions on the ice cream maker for a sorbet, mix the appropriate amount of chilled Mango Nectar with Honey and the chilled and milled blueberries. Now make that sorbet, while relaxing after the meal. Serve immediately. For extra Flavor you may dust the dished sorbet with a little Sizzling Peach Fruit Rub.
